Navegando en internet he encontrado por casualidad una página llena de manuales técnicos super detallados del M60. En ellos se pueden encontrar gráficos técnicos que muestran con todo lujo de detalles los distintos componentes mecánicos del carro. Creo que es una fuente de información de incalculable valor, para aquellos de vosotros a los que os guste super detallar vuestras maquetas y que al mismo tiempo seáis aficionados al M60.

En esa página también podréis encontrar información sobre otros vehículos como el M113 o camiones.

Surfing on the net I have found by mere chance, a website full of technical manuals on the M60 tank.  I think this website is an invaluable source of information for super detailing your models of the M60. The manuals contain a lot of technical drawings showing plenty of details about the different mechanical components of the tank.

In this website, you will find information about other armored vehicles as the M113.

The following picture is an example of the level of detail of the manuals.

Bovington's fury

Hola amigos.

En esta última entrega dedicada a referencias para el "enguarring" que tomé en el museo de carros de Bovington el pasado verano, os traigo las fotos que hice al "Fury", el easy eight protagonista de la película del mismo nombre. Lo tienen en una sección especial del museo, y han tenido el buen criterio de no limpiarlo después de rodar con él por el campo, por lo que es una fuente inagotable de ideas para la pintura de nuestros carros.

In this latest installment dedicated to references for the weathering process that I took last summer in the Bovington tank museum. I bring you the pictures I took of the "Fury", the easy eight main character of the film of the same name. The tank is in a special section of the museum. They have had the good idea not clean it after shooting in the field, so it is an endless source of ideas to paint our tanks.

T-59 embarrado - Muddy T-59

En esta segunda entrada dedicada al museo de Bovington, quiero mostrar las fotos de un T-59 que tomé mientras evolucionaba por el Kuwait Arena. El día de mi visita al museo estuvo cayendo una lluvia fina y por tanto el carro acabó muy lleno de barro. Las fotos son una muy buena referencia para saber cómo y dónde se ensucia de barro un T-55 y sus diferentes variantes.

In this second post about the Bovington tank museum, I want to show the photos of a T-59 that I took while the tank moved by the Kuwait Arena. The day I visited the museum was cloudy and the ground was soaked by a light rain. Therefore, the tank was very muddy. Those pictures are a very good reference to know how and where the mud adhere to a T-55 based tank.

Un panzer grasiento - A greasy panzer

Este verano he tenido la oportunidad de visitar el museo de blindados de Bovington. Es un museo fantástico donde un modelista puede encontrar inspiración y referencias de valor incalculable para nuevos proyectos.

Los foros y blogs de internet están llenos de walkarounds que muestran todos los vehículos del museo de Bovington con gran detalle, por eso, creo que no tiene mucho interés repetir esos walkarounds en este blog.

This summer I have had the opportunity to visit The Tank Museum at Bovington. It is a fantastic museum where, as a modeller, you can find inspiration and invaluable references for new projects.

The internet blogs and forums are full of walkarounds that show all the vehicles in Bovington with great detail, so, I don't think that be of interest to repeat such walkarounds here.


Yo estoy especialmente interesado en la forma en que un carro de combate en uso se ensucia. En Bovington he podido encontrar varios ejemplos de tanques sucios que han llamado mi atención. Este tipo de imágenes no es tan frecuente en internet y es por eso que quiero compartirlas con todos vosotros.

Este primer post está dedicado a la grasa que se acumula en el tren de rodaje de un panzer III que se ha usado para dar unas vueltas al Kuwait Arena (el pequeño campo de maniobras a la entrada del museo).

I am especially interested in the way a tank in use gets dirty. In Bovington, I could find several examples of dirty tanks that caught my attention. This kind of images is not so frequent and I would like to share it with you.

This first post is devoted to the grease accumulated in the running gear of a Panzer III, after what this tank was used in the Kuwait arena (the small field of maneuvers sited in front of the museum).
